As CEO of The Lullaby Trust, I relied hugely on Alexis for her communication, strategic, and scientific advice. There is no doubt that her input was vital to increasing the charity's profile both nationally and internationally at that time, as well as evolving the international research scene in the field. I strongly recommend her calm guidance and broad expertise to fellow charity leaders. - The Lullaby Trust |
Alexis was great to work with, using her experience to help shape our three-day meeting right from the start. We were relatively hands-off for this project, and she worked expertly together with the facilitator to help craft the meeting content as well as liaising with the researchers to refine the meeting report. - Wellcome Trust |
Alexis played a key role in the development of Ovarian Cancer Action's response to new Government health legislation. She combines in-depth knowledge with an intelligent and practical approach that makes her a pleasure to work with. Top qualities: Great Results, Personable, Expert. - Ovarian Cancer Action |
Alexis Willett in her role as co-editor brought experience, structure and clarity to a challenging project to develop major new National Guidelines for multi-professional teams providing breast reconstruction services in the UK today. Her insight, energy and leadership ensured that these were delivered on time and to a very high standard. - Association of Breast Surgery |
Alexis provided me with a dummies guide to creating a strategy and how goals are assessed. She was an excellent person to bounce ideas off and patiently explained the finer points of assessing strategic goals. I heartily recommend Alexis as someone who will get you to take a fresh and inventive look at your organisation and provide you with the tools you need to move forward to a successful future. - VP External Communications at IPEM |
It was a pleasure to work with Alexis on two substantive pieces of work: a major review of our previous scientific activities, and producing a report for a high-level roundtable discussion. She rapidly understood what was needed, facilitated us in drawing out the key elements, and fostered a discursive and team-working approach to the projects. We worked together at pace to produce very high-quality reports that impressed Board members and external Key Opinion Leaders. - Ieso Digital Health |
EFNA engaged Dr Alexis Willett of Punch Consulting to put together a guide for the development of National Neurological Alliances, which was a collection of experiences from existing groups across Europe. She was able to deal with language and cultural obstacles to distil the information received into a flowing guide, most appropriate for our target audience. She was also comfortable and competent in dealing with varying contributors – ranging from policymakers, patient and industry representatives. We were very impressed with how Alexis could quickly see the bigger picture/concept, but also focussed on the smaller details. She was always available, worked ahead of schedule and contributed her expertise to some side-projects for which the document will be used. Overall, we would not hesitate in working with Alexis again on similar activities. - European Federation of Neurological Associations |
Alexis was recommended to support Teenage Cancer Trust by responding to consultations around the NHS White Paper – an unprecedented policy activity for the charity. She absorbed and assimilated a huge amount of complex information very quickly and represented Teenage Cancer Trust’s position and the needs of young people with cancer brilliantly. - Teenage Cancer Trust |
Following a number of successful projects undertaken on behalf of EMSP, and drawing on her combination of expertise in health policy development, public understanding of science and multi-stakeholder consultation, Alexis was commissioned to produce a revised code within a short timescale, to consult fully with key stakeholders and to present the work at EMSP’s annual spring conference, all of which were successfully achieved. Many of EMSP’s member societies have already embarked on plans to use the new code, Defeating MS Together, in their negotiations with health ministries and health services and EMSP has received very positive feedback on the new approach, on the details and the specific calls to action and timelines that it contains. - European MS Platform |
As ever, Alexis combined her broad and expert knowledge of the science and health environments with her first-rate communications skills, to deliver a complex but critical report for the charity - our clearest and most engaging articulation yet of our strategy - helping to increase our support and influence to overcome breast cancer. What Alexis offers is second-to-none. - Breast Cancer Campaign |
Alexis Willett from Punch Consulting provided ARU postgraduate and research students with an insightful and highly informative workshop on science communication and engagement. In her session she was able to demonstrate how the future research leaders can package and present their work to society and capture their new discoveries in accessible and inclusive ways. Throughout, Alexis was a joy to work with, a consummate professional. Alexis’ session was outstanding overall. - School of Psychology and Sport Science, Anglia Ruskin University |
